FAQ

About NorthFork Coffee Co.

Who Are You?

We're NorthFork Coffee Co., a craft coffee brand built for people who are always on the move. We source, roast, and deliver exceptional coffee designed to fuel whatever comes next. Whether you're hitting the trail, heading into the office, or just starting your morning, we're there for it.

Where is your coffee sourced?

We work with trusted growers and importers to source high-quality beans from some of the world's best coffee-growing regions. Each roast is crafted with intention, from farm to cup.

Where are you based?

We're based in Buffalo, MN. A small town with big mornings and even bigger coffee ambitions.

Our Coffee

What roasts do you offer?

Our current lineup includes:

  • First Light: A smooth, approachable roast perfect for starting your day.
  • Backcountry Blend: A bold, well-rounded blend built for the long haul.
  • Buffalo Black: A dark, full-bodied roast with a rich, intense finish.
  • Organic French Roast: A deep, smoky roast for those who like it dark and certified organic.

Do you have an espresso bean?

There is no such thing as an espresso bean. Any coffee bean can be used for espresso, it all comes down to the grind and brew method. That said, if you love a bold, rich shot, our Buffalo Black dark roast is a great choice and works beautifully in any espresso machine.

Which roast has the most caffeine?

Contrary to what most people assume, lighter roasts actually have more caffeine than dark roasts. The longer a bean is roasted, the more caffeine burns off. So if you want the biggest kick, reach for First Light. If you just love the bold flavor of a dark roast, Buffalo Black still delivers plenty of energy.

Do you offer whole bean and ground options?

Yes, all of our roasts are available in both whole bean and ground. If you're ordering ground, we recommend grinding fresh for the best flavor, but our ground coffee is milled to a versatile medium grind suitable for drip machines and pour-overs.

How should I store my coffee?

Store your coffee in an airtight container at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat. Avoid the freezer, the moisture can affect flavor. Whole bean coffee stays fresh longer, so if you're not brewing daily, whole bean is the way to go.
